On Monday one of our classmates moved to another class and it made me sad because he was my best friend in this class. The good news is that I still get to see him at recess and after school. On Tuesday we took the Language Arts Benchmark test. It was really long. In the afternoon we got to finish our Day of the Dead skulls. On Wednesday we met a new classroom volunteer named Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Smith’s children use to be in Ashley’s class a LONG time ago! We also took the Math Benchmark test. It was a lot shorter than the Language Arts test. On Thursday we practiced the Earthquake drill. This means that if there is an earthquake you have to get under the tables and have to stay there until Mr. Arnold tells us it is OK to go out onto Carpy Field. On Friday we had Art with Connie, did our classroom chores, and took our weekly Math quiz. I was happy because I got 100% on my math quiz. At 1:50 we went to the St. Helena High School's Homecoming Parade and watched the high school kids on their floats. It was fun, but really hot in the sun. We did appreciations at the end of the day.

Hi, my name is Tracy and my job for this month is writing the weekly blog. On Monday we had circle and we talked about our weekend. I talked about going to Monterey with my dad. On Tuesday we got our new classroom jobs and new crews (table groups). My crew is made up of Maci, Fernando, and Alexandra and me. For our crew building activity we made the other side of Frankenstein’s head (symmetry activity). Once we finished his head we had to color it. On Wednesday we started taking timed multiplication tests in math. We have one minute to try to do 50 problems. It is really hard! Each day after finishing the test, we make a line graph of our results. And now after a few days of doing this, most of us have lines going up on our graphs. On Thursday we worked with Chrome Books in the Computer Lab with Cam. It was very hard for me because it was my first day using a Chrome Book. Owen helped me with it. I like using the Chrome Books because everyone gets to have their own. It was a lot of fun. On Friday we had an assembly in the afternoon. Araceli got a certificate for having Mutual Respect. I hope you comment on my blog and have a good weekend. Tracy We are grateful for:
