On Monday, December 9 Ashley's ELD class made snowman candles. First we got the fish bowl and we put white paint on it and then covered it with epson salt. Then we had to let it dry for a day. On Tuesday we decorated it with ribbon and buttons. We put a candle that you flip a switch to turn on. Finally we wrapped them.
Yesterday we went to the Oakland Museum. I liked that we could see pictures and videos of different animals and plants. There was an exhibit about how gold was discovered in California. There was a bear skin and some really soft rabbit skin that you could feel. You could watch a video and then write what you thought about the video on a post-it and stick it on the post-it note wall. We had lunch outside by Koi pond. We put our backpacks in drawers in the benches.
Today we had Cozy Reading/Pajama Day. We also got a new student named Sarah. It was also Secret Santa Reveal Day. My Secret Santa was Gracie and I was Logan's Secret Santa.
